Two Perfect Trips!

I had the pleasure of touring DC with Lorna with my daughter's school group in 2019 and again with my son's school group in 2022. Both 4-day trips were excellent. Lorna makes sure you see as much as you possibly can with the time that you have. She is well-connected within the tour/attraction community and knows when to rearrange the itinerary to make the most of your time. She was great at keeping our large groups on schedule. She is full of interesting knowledge on Washington DC and knew how to dole out just the right amount of information to our 7th graders to hold their attention and get them interested in what they were seeing without it seeming like a lecture. My kids and I enjoyed her tours so much that we hope to do Italy with her one day!

I have taken eighth graders to Washington for 13 years. Lorna is the best guide we have ever had. She was able to add more stops to our itinerary, including the National Archives. Amazing.
Fantastic with Kids!

We had an absolutely lovely day with Lorna. We live in the area but had visitors from overseas who had just a short day to see DC, we decided to go with a professional tour so they could get the most from the experience. We also didn’t want to risk putting our family in a large group tour with COVID. A private tour with Lorna is not only the safest way to tour but it was extremely comfortable and personal. She a lovely person. She answered all out questions and allowed us to take our time and let us out for photos and walk abouts on request. Loran was more than accommodating to our needs and goals for the day. We had two toddlers which would turn off most guides, but she was fantastic with them and they adored her. She was fantastic with them. My son asked for several days after our tour when we would see Lorna again. She picked up us in Alexandria at our and even put two car seats in her van for the kids. I believe this above and beyond what most people would do. She is very knowledgeable, and we will certainly use her again when we have visitors that want to see the DC area. If you a looking for a tour in DC, you should start with Lorna.
Lorna is tremendous

Lorna is one in a million. My wife and I (71 and 70) and our two daughters (34 and 26), and one of their partners, gathered in Washington in mid September to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. And, we hadn't been together as a family in over four years, so this was special. I wanted a tour of DC to be the "centerpiece" of the trip and I did much research looking for a tour guide. I am not sure how I discovered Lorna, but am so thankful that I did. In addition to being an inspiring guide, she is truly a kind, wonderful person. While Lorna will tailor the tour to your desire, we wanted a general overview of the National Mall. And that was excellent. We had been to Washington before but Lorna taught us so much more than we ever knew. We visited and learned about some of the memorials we knew less about-- FDR, WW II and Martin Luther King -- while visiting several other memorials. (And, yes, the Albert Einstein sculpture). One of our daughters has difficulty walking for an extended period of time, and Lorna was very accommodating to that. Beyond the tour, she was fantastic in my many conversations with me in setting things up. Perhaps the best way to summarize our experience with Lorna: she was not just our tour guide, she is now our friend ! I know that Lorna and her husband also are tour guides in Italy, and we would look forward to joining them in a tour there--and anywhere.
Amazing.
