Overview

You can see all Washington DC Monuments and Memorials, the White House and the Capitol at your own pace, with no bus-filled crowding or walking — and no waiting. You'll be protected from the weather, including rain, snow and sun. Kid friendly and your dogs are most welcome! This is the best option for anyone with a mobility impairment.

Our most popular tour is the Monuments and Memorials tour. We have done this tour 100+ different ways, depending on our guest's wishes. This is a tour of the entire National Mall on tricycle and includes the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, MLK Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean, Vietnam and WWII War Memorials, and the White House, as well as other memorials.

We also conduct night tours, which usually include all the amazing lit-up sights (our favorites at night are The White House, World War II, Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt and the Capitol).

Best way to see Washington D.C. with your own private tour guide
Sylvia_I, 28-12-2022
This was an amazing experience - we got to see the monuments and memorials, and get bit-sized and interesting history lessons from Barry on this private bike tour.

Barry was prompt in picking us up from the hotel and it was great to have a place to store our water bottles and bags when we wanted to come down and spend more time at a particular monument or memorial. Barry was also happy to take our photos whenever we wanted.

It was a bit cold and rainy back in October 2022 when we visited D.C., so Barry had a rain cover that he put across when it started to rain more.

The best part of taking this tour with Barry was that he had access to the top of a building near the White House and we were able to go onto the rooftop and get an amazing view.

My father and son said this was the highlight of the trip and this was the only way to see Washington D.C. Absolutely worth the money.
Everyone will be jealous that you have a ride.

Amazing tour on a beautiful day with all the cherry blossoms fully blooming! We felt so lucky and our tour guide was amazing! We lucked out with an American history teacher! We literally had time to see every monument and grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. What a beautiful day and a terrific education for my teenager.
The best DC tour we have ever taken!

My husband and I both love Washington DC and have travelled there many times. Over the years we have experienced many different tours and tourist options. For our recent visit we had a free day and were looking for something fun and different. Adventure DC Tricycle Tours looked interesting. It was more than that! Our guide Barry was terrific. His tour was knowledgable and comprehensive with great stories and a natural dialogue. We know a lot, but he kept our interest the entire time and shared a number of great "unknown gems" We loved all of it and cannot recommend highly enough.
An absolute MUST-DO when you’re visit DC!!

BEST DC TOUR EVER!

This was the best day of our Washington DC trip because of this amazing tour -- and we all got to ride around Washington DC on a tricycle! The tour guide entertained the family with engrossing stories and facts. I really can't say enough about this experience.

A couple of things you should be aware of, in case you're thinking about booking with them (which you should!). At the time of this posting, Adventure DC Tricycle Tours:
1. Allows for Easy postponement
2. Charges no cancellation fee

For those worried about rain (or other bad weather), the weather was not on our side either. But they suggested changing our tour date allowing for warm sunny skies instead of cold rain. And they had complete covering that could be added to the cab if the weather got cold.

We had so much fun being shown around DC learning about the memorials and getting fascinating insights. Our fantastic guide narrated the whole tour and customized the route based on our interests. We saw a LOT in a short period of time.

To answer a couple of question:
* Is it Kid-friendly? YES! And our kids loved it.
* Does it get too hot with the sun beating down outside? No. Everyone is canopy-protected from the sun, and there's more extensive protection if it the weather gets bad.
* Is this a customizable tour? YES! It's completely customizable.
* Is this tour good for families? Absolutely. As the creator of "A Sailor's Wife" Blog I am always on the lookout for family-friendly activities, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Both the adults (me and my husband) and the kids loved it.

Summary: HIGHLY RECOMMEND
