Overview

Join us on a donut adventure through our nation’s capital, Washington DC. Our tour begins across from the White House itself. Here you’ll learn some history around our nation and how donuts fit in, both historically, but also in current DC food culture. From here, we’ll visit our first stop, Astro Doughnuts and Chicken, which is only a short walk from the White House. After we’ve sampled some freshly made donuts from Astro’s, we’re off to Palmer Alley and an amazing Italian bakery and cafe that has some delicious bomboloni for you to sample. Make sure to have your camera ready - this is quite the Instagrammable experience. From there, we’ll make our way to Farmers and Distillers for another batch of freshly made and absolutely delicious donuts. And lastly, we’ll end our tour at Toscana Market for some truly decadent donuts from a famous DC chef.

Donuts you did not know about!

We were excited for this tour because we are donut people. Greg our tour guide was the best and made the tour one of a kind. Just when you think it is the same old donuts its not. Everyone is different and from different places in the world. The tour is also a chance to see Washington DC. You get to see the downtown area to include China Town. Great tour!!
Underground DC donut tour in arctic weather

What a fun way to see DC , enjoy some fantastic donuts and get a walk in. Craig was our tour guide during one of the coldest days of the year. There were four donut stops and one at a coffee hope where the coffee, tea or hot chocolate was included in the tour. Stories of donut lore spun from Craig's mouth as he walked backwards to make sure the group of nine of us heard his stories. Hard to pick which was the favorite from my group but the Bombolini, Jefferson donuts and the creme brûlée stood out.
Delicious

This was a really unique and delicious tour. The guide was friendly and the food stops were amazing. You MUST come very hungry because you will eat way more donuts then you have ever had before - but loved being able to sample so many flavors. I would say the tour was a little light on facts / stories, but maybe I was just in a food coma? Either way, a new and worthwhile way to see our city.
